In this series, I explore the juxtaposition of death and life, presenting skeletons as the central motif.
The skeletons in the series are depicted with a touch of abstraction, adding an element of surrealism to the artworks. The skeletons possess distorted proportions and exaggerated features that lend them an otherworldly aura. These abstract elements evoke a sense of mystery and wonder, inviting viewers to interpret the skeletons as representations of the universal human experience with death and the afterlife. Despite their abstract nature, the skeletons posture and expressions convey a sense of freedom and liberation, as if they have transcended the limitations of mortality and embraced the essence of existence. The skeletons serve as a reminder to embrace life with gusto, to pursue passions and dreams, and to make the most of the time we have on this earth.
"Living Beyond the Bones" is a series that challenges our perceptions of death and encourages us to live life to its fullest, reminding us that even in the face of mortality, there is beauty, joy, and vitality to be found.
